Stone Porch Restoration - Part 1.

This is a job we recently completed. All the porch stonework was carefully removed using mechanical lifting methods, with each stone numbered and recorded on elevation drawings before the old mortar was cleaned off. Repairs were completed while the stones were on the ground, and new foundations were dug and concreted in line with the structural engineer’s design. The stonework was then rebuilt in its original order onto the new foundation, fixed and pointed with lime mortar, and securely cramped and dowelled to the existing building using stainless steel fittings. Finally, a new timber roof structure was installed along with a fresh asphalt covering, complete with a new outlet and drainage system.
