Historic Hall Restoration

This comprehensive roof restoration involved carefully stripping the existing Westmorland slate roof, retaining and reusing original materials wherever possible, and sourcing reclaimed Westmorland slate for replacements. The project included the installation of new leadwork throughout, including gutters, flashings, hips, and ridges.
While exposed, the roof structure was treated and upgraded with natural sheep's wool insulation to improve thermal performance while maintaining the building's heritage integrity.
The bell tower was fully refurbished, featuring a new copper cupola, restoration of the bell carriage, rehanging of the original bell, refurbishment of the turret glazing, complete redecoration, and regilding of the weathervane.

The Rebuild & Restoration of 13 Stone Arches at the Head of a Lake on a Country Estate

This project involved the complete restoration of 13 large stone arches at the head of a lake on a country estate.
12 of the arches were no longer standing and the stones were stored in a barn so we had to painstakingly match the stones together to rebuild the arches, using modern structural techniques to ensure they remain stable.
On this project we also worked with an environmental conservation specialist to ensure the relocation of newts, frogs and toads.
Check out the article in the CLA (Country Land and Business Association LTD) magazine featuring this project.

New Build Boundary Wall
As part of the new-build development, this curved sandstone wall was designed to complement boundary walls in the vicinity. Constructed using locally sourced sandstone, the wall follows the natural contours of the landscape, creating a seamless and sympathetic addition to its setting.
