Memorial Cleaning - Part 1.

In preparation for Remembrance Day, we were called in to carry out a sympathetic clean to remove algae and surface detritus using non‑abrasive methods. We also repointed open joints with lime mortar across the memorial, plaques and surrounding plinths. While on site, we were additionally asked to survey the memorial to identify the source of potential structural cracking, informing a future phase of remedial works. Here's how the memorial looked prior to any cleaning.
