Bridge Repairs - Part 1.

Further to the road traffic accident involving this Grade II listed bridge, the existing stonework was recovered, examined, and sawn down so that as much original material as possible could be retained and reused. Any shortfall was supplemented with new stone carefully selected to match the existing. All stone was then transported back to site and reinstated within a controlled, traffic‑managed working area. The rebuilt sections were fixed and pointed in lime mortar, with a small number of in‑situ mortar repairs carried out where required. Here are some photos of the damage before our repairs.
