National Justice Museum Restoration 9 - Clean & Redecorate

In Nottingham’s historic Lace Market stands the National Justice Museum, housed within the Grade II-listed Shire Hall — a building we have recently carried out restoration work on.

At the western gable end, we accessed the high elevations using a cherry picker. The gable was first steam‑cleaned to remove vegetation, modern pollution and to reveal any hidden defects requiring repair. It was then redecorated with Keim mineral paint. Additional works included lime‑mortar repointing where needed, restoration of the cornices, and repair of the window‑head stone.
