National Justice Museum Restoration 2 - Chimney Stacks

In Nottingham’s historic Lace Market stands the National Justice Museum, housed within the Grade II* listed Shire Hall — a building we have recently carried out restoration work on.
At the southern end of Shire Hall, the flat roof features seven large chimney stacks, each in varying states of deterioration. Weathering had caused the original pointing and some of the brickwork to break down, so each stack was repointed with lime mortar where required, and selected chimney pots were reset and re‑flaunched to ensure long‑term stability.
