National Justice Museum Restoration 4 - Lead Roof

A recent project we’ve undertaken is the restoration of the grade II‑listed Shire Hall, home to the National Justice Museum in Nottingham’s historic Lace Market.

Across the main roof, large areas of lead cover the flat walkways and the court roof. In several places the lead had worn away or become detached, leaving sections exposed. New lead was installed and securely fixed to the roof pitch and gutters, as shown in the photographs.
