Historic Hall Restoration 9 - Flat lead Roof

A recent project we have been working on is the restoration of Brackenhurst Main Hall in Southwell, Nottinghamshire. The roof of the main hall comprises both slate and flat lead sections. The lead on the flat roofs required full replacement, as it had deteriorated and no longer met modern installation standards. The new leadwork now complies with current regulations and is expected to perform reliably for another 120 years. Discover how the restoration develops in part 10.
