A recent project we have been working on is the restoration of Brackenhurst Main Hall in Southwell, Nottinghamshire

After removing the slates from the roof and clearing out the void of debris, an assessment could be made on the condition of the timbers. Evidently, some of the rafters and beams had rotted over time and were no longer structurally sound so needed replacing.
