Historic Hall Restoration 15 - Dormer windows

A recent project we’ve been working on is the restoration of Brackenhurst Main Hall in Southwell, Nottinghamshire. Several dormer windows sit around the roof space of the Main Hall. Each one was first tested for lead paint, and once confirmed, the entire window was carefully removed and disposed of in line with environmental regulations. New hardwood dormer windows were then crafted to match the originals and fitted with new glazing before being installed. Discover the next steps in our restoration of this historic hall in Part 16.
