Historic Hall Restoration 11 - Removing Lead Paint

A recent project we have been working on is the restoration of Brackenhurst Main Hall in Southwell, Nottinghamshire.

Here you can see the main body of the bell tower at Brackenhurst Main Hall. Because it was covered with lead paint this had to be removed before any other restoration could continue. To remove it as safely as possible; with the least risk to us, the building and the environment, Peel Away Paint Remover was applied and covered over. This process ensures that the paint peels off and does not release any harmful particles into the atmosphere.
