Historic Garden Restoration 3

Replacing damaged and weathered brickwork in reclaimed bricks to match existing and replacement of weather copings in matching stone

A recent project we have been working on is the restoration of the Hydrangea Garden at Darley Park in Derby.

Throughout the walls of the garden, it was evident that some bricks had suffered against the elements over time and had begun to move and deteriorate. Our images show the condition of some of the walls and our operation of removing those most damaged. We ensure to only use reclaimed bricks, so they blend in seamlessly with the original structure.

In the final image you can see a result of our work; with reclaimed bricks installed and repointed with lime mortar.
